Introducing Focus Stacker

We are pleased to announce the release of Focus Stacker, our new application for macro photography and microscope image processing. While looking simple on the surface it is literally packed with new algorithms developed specially for the app to make stacking more automatic and robust:

• Automatic image alignment, including full planar alignment for microscope images.
• Sharp regions selection tolerant to small subject motions — stacking deghosting.
• Blending with no artificial halos around sharp edge details.
• Optional exposure alignment algorithm.
• Exposure alignment includes lens vignetting correction for planar stitching case.

In development more than a year, Focus Stacker adds many new interesting features to our image processing stack from those the future Panorama Stitcher releases will also benefit.
